New Paltz RFC

New Paltz RFC was founded in 1985 as a club sport at SUNY New Paltz. The team plays in the Tri-State Rugby Conference against schools from New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey.  New Paltz RFC plays in both a typical fifteens season during the fall and a sevens season in the spring. The team is always looking for ways to give back to our community, including anything from fundraising to volunteering!

​The State University of New York at New Paltz, known as SUNY New Paltz for short, is a public university in New Paltz, New York. It was founded in 1828 as a school for the teaching of the classics. In 1885, the New Paltz Normal and Training School was established as a school to prepare teachers for the public schools of New York State. In 2023 New Paltz was officially designated a university.
